Been a while...
Hello, Blog! It's been a while. Like, almost a year. We bought a house last year! I can't believe we'e been homeowners for a year! In the move, though, our laptop screen got cracked and the left couple inches of the screen are black and line-y. That and now-three-year-old loves to use the computer. Since the move, I just haven't spent much time on the laptop to write blog posts, but I'm here to resurrect the blog! Here's my most recently finished project: The pattern is Josh Ryks " Mystik Sprial Socks " which incorporate short rows to give some fun shaping: My yarn is more subtle than the self-striping yarns other people generally choose for this pattern and I think I'm going to knit this pattern again eventually using a more obviously self-striping yarn, but I still think these are fun. (I used 330 yards of Schachenmayr Regia Digipix Color: PC Color which I received as a gift from a Ravelry swap.) These are my first...
This may be the most adorable Who inspired knit I have EVER seen! I am in love!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I don't suppose anyone's resized this for, say, 6-12 months?
ReplyDeleteOr even bigger than 6-12 months! My niece is 16 months.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic jumper, wonderful work!
sorry - but it isn;t in the abbreviations what is ssk?
ReplyDeleteBec - sorry that is unclear. SSK is a slip, slip, knit decrease as described here: http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/decrease_k2tog.html
ReplyDeleteI love this, is there any way to scale it up for bigger sizes?
ReplyDeleteI love this! My Mum would love to knit this for my daughter, but she is 17 months - have you thought about scaling it up? She was wondering how hard the bobbles are to do?
ReplyDeleteI would live a bigger pattern....3 or 4?
ReplyDeleteI would love a bigger pattern or advice on upping it. Size 3 or 4
ReplyDeleteAnyone figure out how to up the size on this pattern? I'd love to make this for my daughter and she'll be in 12 months outfits soon!
ReplyDeleteDo you carry the yarn between the bobbles or are you cutting and starting over with a new piece each time?
ReplyDeleteCarry the yarn, otherwise you will have to weave in tons of ends!
